Ayotunde Gibbs is the Director of Global IT Store Systems. She is responsible for the development of various IT systems used by store associates to complete their daily tasks including mission critical systems such as the Point of Sale. In this role, she works with cross functional teams within the company to develop technology solutions to improve efficiencies, support new lines of business, and increase compliance in GameStop and ThinkGeek retail stores. Ayotunde has worked in various capacities in the IT department including quality assurance, store support, business analysis, and also software engineering. Her experience in various aspects of software development along with her knowledge of the GameStop business enable a culture of innovation and the application development expertise needed to maintain a strategic edge while supporting the transformation of GameStop’s family of brands.Prior to GameStop she worked as a consultant with a Dallas based IT resources consulting firm. During her consulting career, she worked on various big and small technology projects culminating in her engagement as a Quality Assurance consultant at GameStop where she was eventually hired as a Software Engineer in June of 2006.Ayotunde received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas Tech University with minors in Mathematics and Management Information Systems.
