Gisela Riggan

gisela riggan Gisela Riggan joined Prosperity Bank in 2009, during the peak of the financial crisis, as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). She is responsible for leading the Bank’s technology strategy, vendor management, IT operations and the Bank’s information and cyber Security. Under Gisela’s direction, Prosperity has undergone a major transformation of their technology strategy and architecture, significantly increasing business capabilities and the bank’s security posture while maintaining an efficiency ratio among the best in the banking industry.

Gisela started her career as an Information Officer at the United States Embassy in Bolivia. Prior to joining Prosperity, she was Director of Business Application for Franklin Bank where she was responsible for strategic planning, vendor management and the PMO office. Mrs. Riggan has 23 years of experience in Information Technology with 15 of those years being specifically in the Finance industry. Gisela is an active member of the FBI InfraGuard Houston division and a frequent speaker at local “Women in Technology” events.

Born and raised in Bolivia, Gisela graduated from the French High School in Bolivia, received her French Diploma from the University of La Sorbonne in Paris and a Bachelors of Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin. She is fluent in French, Spanish and English. Gisela is an avid skier and during her time off, enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and her three children, Nathaniel, Samuel and Isabella.
