Clement joined Allen Austin in 2015, and in addition to focusing on Diversity Board Placements, he also specializes in searches in the Professional Services/Consulting and Transportation and Logistics industries. Prior to joining Allen Austin, Clement was with the Leadership Capital Group, where he opened the firm’s Austin office, expanded the firm’s Texas, southwest, Mexico and Latin American presence, and broadened its diversity practice to drive continued global growth and reach. Clement was also President and Founder of CW and Associates where he gained industry-wide and international recognition in corporate board diversity and recruiting senior executives for Pre-IPO to Fortune 500 companies. His intimate knowledge of C-level recruitment needs of multi-national clients with international operations and in the emerging markets of Mexico and Latin America stems from his years working with Shore Consulting Group, an industry leader based in Mexico City, Mexico. As Executive Vice President – Latin America, he opened Shore’s Dallas, Texas, office as the firm’s first senior search executive in the United States, building the brand and extending the firm’s reach outside of Mexico. During his time with Shore, Clement developed the industry standard for diversity talent mapping services in the United States. Given his high-profile clients, he is known throughout the industry as the “Go-to Guy” when it comes to finding and placing high-profile Hispanic candidates to key corporate board positions. Earlier in his career, Clement received his grounding in business as a Marketing Executive for Delta Airlines, as an Account Executive for Estee Lauder, and as Vice President, Latin America for La Prairie Cosmetics, a division of Beiersdorf.
Throughout his career, Clement has developed a strong passion for education and the importance of promoting higher educational opportunities for all minorities, especially Hispanics. In his spare time, he serves on the board of directors of the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium (HSC), an Austin-based nonprofit that provide valuable scholarship and mentorship support for first generation Latino students. At the national level, he has received strong praise and recognition from the Latino business community for his coaching and mentoring of prospective Latino/Latinas for corporate board service.
Clement holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Antioch University and an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
